The top Orange Team, consisting of juniors and freshmen, claimed first place by beating the seniors and sophomores of the top Blue Team by one touchdown in the championship game of the athletic council’s first Royal Rumble Flag Football Tournament. The winning Orange Team (the “Purple” team) was led by faculty coach Alyssa Anderson and junior captain Colleen Cusat while the Blue Team (the “White” team) was led by faculty coach James Palmieri and senior captain Kathryn Kwapnewski.

The highly-anticipated event began with four blue teams and four orange teams playing in the opening rounds of the tournament on campus after school on Nov. 20, eventually leading to the winning teams for each side facing off in an exciting and intense championship game on Nov. 21, with many students, faculty and parents showing their school spirit on the sidelines.
