This fall season, the crew team has grown its numbers as nine freshmen girls have joined the returning juniors, Gretchen Richardson and Catherine Loder, and sophomore Hope Maguire.

Although the team still participates at the club level, they are preparing for future years when they will be competing against other schools. With their coach Nicolette Simeone, the rowers practice three times a week at the Navesink River Rowing Boathouse in Red Bank. While rowing in the “quad” boats on the Navesink River, they work on improving their technique while also having fun.
The girls hope that they will be able to attend the end-of-season regatta that Navesink holds to get a taste for what the regattas are like in preparation for competitions in the future.
As one of the founding members of the crew program, Richardson is especially enthusiastic for this upcoming year of crew. “I am looking forward to seeing the team having a great time both on the water and off,” Richardson said. “I am thrilled to have been a part of a sport at Trinity that I have seen grow and develop before my own eyes!”
