Select members of the track team competed in the historic Penn Relays in Philadelphia on April 28 in front of 12,000 competitors and fans. The 4×100 relay team of junior Alexa Alverio, sophomore Gina Rienzo, freshmen Hannah Reynolds and Catherine Stolbof ran 54.6 and placed 236 out of 339 teams. The 4×400 relay team of junior Cate Toomey, Reynolds, Rienzo and Stolbof ran 4:26 and was 13th in their section. On April 30, the team competed in the Lion Invitational at Middletown North where the freshman team placed first in the frosh competition. They were led by a 1-2 finish in the 400m by Stolbof (1:02.88) and Reynolds (1:03.17), who were joined by fellow freshmen Katie Venezia and Gillian Thorp to earn second place in the 4×400 relay. The team also competed in the Monmouth County Relay Championships at Long Branch High School on May 5. The 4×1600 relay team of junior Erica O’Kelly and sophomores Bridget Andree, Anna Barnett and Toomey placed fourth in the varsity race with a time of 23:06.48, setting a new school record. In the JV 4×200 relay sophomore Olivia DeNicola teamed up with freshmen Reynolds, Stolbof and Venezia to place second with a time of 1:59.2.
May 27, 28 – NJSIAA Sectionals
The transition to varsity play this year has been challenging for the lacrosse team, but they have shown improvement and tenacity throughout the season. Their closest game was against Staten Island Academy on May 9, when they lost by one goal with :30 left on the clock. The Monarchs hope to earn their first varsity win against Ranney or St. Rose as they close out the season.

Although the golf team has not won a match this season, the athletes are continuing to improve with every match. In a recent tri-match against St. Rose and Marlboro, the team shot a 238, its best score of the season with Colleen Egan leading the Monarchs with 51 strokes.
